Using specially forged and tempered folded steel this is a high quality blade that truly out performs the competition. The Imperial sword Collection exceeds the expectations of martial artistes for strength, cutting power, and most importantly, craftsmanship. Each sword blade is individually hand forged, heat treated, tempered and polished by skilled hands creating a true battle ready weapon.
This full tang sword features a 11″ long, 8mm thick, 25mm wide tang with no taper. Mid blade is 6mm thick & 29mm wide, tapering to 5mm thick & 25mm at the kissaki. This brings the balance point forward to 5 1/2″ for an easy cut. Using 1060 high carbon steel, folded 14 times creating 16,384 layers combined with the thickness of the blade, the Imperial Forge as created one of the most durable competition cuttings swords on the market todayThe through tempered, hand forged blade boasts a wide, 9″ short bo-hi which creates a 5 1/2″ balance point. The thick shinogi and convex style ji gives you the ultimate durablity for the riggers of tameshigiri.
