Indianapolis Colts Tickets
The Indianapolis Colts weren’t always in Indianapolis. Longtime fans will remember the team moving from Baltimore in 1984. Fans over an even longer term will remember football legend Johnny Unitas and the glory days of the Colts, when they were called “the greatest pro football team of all time”. Though they played in Super Bowl III and were heavily favored against the New York Jets, they lost after Joe Namath made his famous prediction of a Jets victory. It was only two years before the team took home the championship, though, soundly defeating the Dallas Cowboys in Super Bowl V.
This was the golden age of the Colts, and it was nearing its end. The team entered a dark era until the mid 80’s, suffering loss after loss and breaking the kind of records that no football team wants to break. When the team moved to Indianapolis, however, their luck began to turn around. It was only a few years before they became regulars to the play-offs once more. In 2003 and 2004, they came onto the scene very strongly. The only team to hand them consistent defeats, and eventually lock them out of the Super Bowl, were the eventual Super Bowl champions, the New England Patriots. In response to this, the Indianapolis Colts changed their tactics and solidified their defense further.
The Indianapolis Colts are a disciplined team, ready to take on any challenge they come to face. They’ve gone from glory to misery and back to glory, and been forged tougher for the experience. Few teams can claim the rich history of the Indianapolis Colts, and no one can claim the unique spirit they show in their games.
