Features a sharpened 1050 high carbon steel blade with blood groove. Genuine rayskin handle with black cord wrap. Tsuba and pommel are crafted of black iron. Brass collar. Wood scabbard with black lacquered finish and cloth storage sleeve. This katana has a Samé black braid cord with brass Menuki and high quality fittings.

A huge 49" in length, a stunning sword by any strandards. Cold Steel has used only traditional materials for the fittings of their Japanese swords . The Tsuba (guard), Fuchi (collar), and Kashira (pommel), are expertly made and finely crafted from black iron. The Habaki (blade collar), is hand made out of polished brass and each hilt is covered in Samé (ray skin) and tightly wrapped in the traditional style with black cord. . All feature a fully sharpened 1050 Carbon steel blades which are heat treated to a spring temper, then carefully hand polished

Cold Steel's new Warrior Series addresses the problem of high quality battle ready swords directly. In their efforts to reduce the costliness of the blades, they have omitted the expensive mirror polishing that is used on the Imperial series swords to create a new series of Japanese swords with a more practical finish. The Warrior Series swords are very handsome in their own right and share the same steel, heat treatment, and sharpness as their more expensive Imperial counterparts. Like the Imperial swords, they have Samé covered, cord wrapped handles and quality fittings.
